i don't want to start any blasphemous...

nir, or someone posing as nir posted a notice on a german board saying he was shutting down to avoid the riaa. more serious obviously than just taking it down for maintenance as reported on several other sites. whether true or not (and it’s certainly plausible), i think that the post is the source of much of the rumors.

It was an easy trail to follow as I did work there. The RAII has kept tabs on former NAPSTER programmers. I plan on moving the server back to my native country. There I hope to be out of the reach of the RIAA.
