Smile Makin startfiles for dummies

As much as I like Indiana’s high tech approach I think is makes things harder than it should be. I f you want to create a startfile the easy way why not use Morpheus, KaZaA or Grokster and forget the back to dos experience.

Once you have downloaded a file worth sharing you know all the details like file size, resolution etc. You run a search to locate that file again. You hit the download button and pause the download as soon as possible. The ready for use startfile is there in your shared folder. You only have to rename it to kazaadownloadxxxxx.dat to make it work in all three FastTrack clients. That’s all. Anyone can do this.

Of course you can add a little extra to the startfile by making it clean and autostart the download, but that is not really necessary to make it useable.

My “Creating startfiles for dummies” procedure can be found at www.museekster.com in the startfilessection.
