Well, it’s not as tough as congresswoman Pelosi would have people believe. I’ll give two examples.

Example #1: This is really a three-pack. The first three proposed rules deal with gifts, travel, meals and entertainment for free. If it’s not free, it’s OK. So if the Representative pays something, even a small “token” payment, the rules are bypassed.

Only gifts from lobbyists or firms/associations that hire lobbyists are prohibited. Gifts from other sources (like rich businessmen) are OK.

Example #2: Free tickets to Redskins games are specifically mentioned, but no other sports events are mentioned. So, free tickets to other sports events may not come under the proposed rule. LOL, Pelosi must not be a Redskins fan.

Hey, if the Dems can pull off cleaning up government, good for them. I’ll take a very cautious wait-and-see approach on that.

I will never spend a another dime on content that I can’t use the way I please. If I can’t copy it to my hard drive and play it using the devices I want, when and where I want, I won’t be buying it. Period. They can all take their DRM, broadcast flags, rootkits, and Compact Discs that aren’t really compact discs and shove them up their bottom-lines.
