I've noticed a slight lag in the results showing up when I have a more complex search involving Artist, Size, Type etc instead of just 1 category. But the other factors like how many results are returned are more significant. And on Kazaa++ you can keep the search going indefinitely so it's hard to even say how long a search takes.
TankGirl is good at this kind of thing...as well as driving men wild so she should have an answer for you later.
