of greater significance to me was Bush actually quoting Osama Bin Laden, the architect of 9/11 & America's true arch-enemy, in order to justify the war in Iraq....reminding us all that he has declined to catch or even vigorously pursue Bin Laden for the sake a larger, deadlier, and pointless conflict in iraq...
the box score from the speech looked like this:
References to "September 11: 5 (relative to an unrelated war in iraq)
References to "weapons of mass destruction": 0 (coz there aren't any)
References to "freedom": 21 (a vague concept that allows anything while accomplishing nothing)
References to "exit strategy": 0 (because he either doesn't have one or doesn't want one - the latter is more likely)
References to "Saddam Hussein": 2 (he's caught - what else is new?)
References to "Osama Bin Laden": 2 (he's loose...and your CIA chief says he knows where he is - hello?)
References to "a mistake": 1 (setting a timetable for withdrawal) (no doubt all the other mistakes are too numerous too mention)
References to "mission": 11 (which mission are we talking about this week)
References to "mission accomplished": 0 (hard to accomplish when you can't define victory)
