I still think this campaign will backfire in the long-run, as this kind of publicity is exactly the reason that casual usage of p2p is on the rise. As private communal networks and encrypted wireless connections become more ubiquitous, the casual file-sharer might become the media mogul's worst nightmare. And by then it'll be too late to convert them into paying customers.
