BitTorrent is almost certainly the fastest way to get a large file
if an active torrent exists for that file and if you are able to find it. The torrents have relatively short life spans - and the same seems to apply to
torrent link sites...
I have used the standard client, the experimental version of the standard client, BitTorrent++ and Burst. All but the standard client have bandwidth controls which are very useful, especially if you have some other p2p applications running at the same time. Of these four,
Burst is my present favorite.
