At this stage the content available with micropayments will be very limited (Cornerband, 2KSounds, Tony Hawk's Boom Boom HuckJam Tour, Palm Records and Redline Entertainment) but as a technical experiment the novelty is interesting. Payment methods range from credit cards to anonymous pre-paid phone cards, and the stuff will be DRM-wrapped, the content provider having (in theory) full control over how it can be used.
This is definitely not p2p of my choice but an interesting development on the commercial side of p2p anyhow.
