what if...what if Messrs. Lee & Lee are patenting this form of sabotage... so as to charge to record companies whenever they do it? or even sue them for patent infringement and get them to stop?

wouldn't it be nice if this was an attack on the RIAA only made to look like an an attack on filesharers?
