that's admirable... but the most effective way to do this is for the software to trick people I'm sad to say.
On Audiogalaxy, there was no choice; you had to share and couldn't control anything. Plus it had that X minimizes to systray trick that was used so well at Napster as well. The result? No queues.
With Morpheus, the defaults at setup were for you to share and it tried by default to SEARCH YOUR HARDDRIVE for your media; which I'm sure most people did as it was the default.
WinMX needs something like this in defaults so that the average and passive user is sharing whether he knows it or not.
