in an interview with an economist, salon brings us a guy who's changing his tune about the horrors of file sharing. he now says it may not be bad for the record companies after all!

the second, from england, shows that for all it's screaming about home copying, hollywood decided not to copy-protect the latest video blockbuster afterall. harry potter arrived in stores without macrovision, and home consumers can make as many copies as they please, vcr to vcr or dvd to vcr. the author wonders - "is this a trend?"
