a few other suggestions:
a)try using
The Playa it can play .dat files
b)try using
Irfanview with all the plugins its also does the same thing
c)Make sure you have the lastest version (7.1 of media player by microsoft if you want to view new
asf and
wmv movies
d)you can rename the partial .dat to .avi and right click on the avi and select properties>preview (with microsoft windows media player 7.1 and higher)
e)Get a program called Ulead Media Studio (yeah I think that's the name it can view real movies, quicktime, avi, mpeg , etcetera
