Whites borrowing from Black music...say it ain't so

I've heard rumours that Whites didn't really invent reggae (Sting) or disco (KC and The Sunshine Band). :shk:
Next thing you know people will be claiming that Elvis didn't do the original Hound Dog. :eek:
Surely no one here can come up with proof that Blacks created certain kinds of music first. ;)
