I knew you'd be first to report that. I just knew it. :tu:

Very Nice

I had heard shareaza would implement these features but still I am surprised and very excited to try this.

A few have reported it works great but not so great with bittorrent yet.

I don't even think BitTorrent support has been implemented yet. :con: Besides, right now most of the torrent sites seem to be down.

emule mods

I heard some emule mods will be blocking shareaza.

Thats really disapointing to hear.

napho 06-05-03 04:10 PM

I think alot of them already block other eMule clients using that community feature. I'm not sure because it'd never enter my mind to do that and fragment the network for no real reason. :N:

Dawn 06-05-03 04:13 PM

Ahem............

JackSpratts 06-05-03 04:56 PM

it's connects to emule immediately. for gnutella 1 i have to connect manually. gnutella 2 isn't connecting at all. bittorent isn't supported. there were some conflicts at install so i uninstalled and reinstalled. it was fine the 2nd time. hey, it's a beta...

This program (Shareaza) has been one of the movers & shakers in the p2p world. I'm glad they are not afraid to try new ideas out. That's the only way change comes about. They take the heat but consistantly put out a good product. It's a shame the other Gnutella developers don't see things the same way. That's probably why they are being left in the dust. Kudos to Mike from Shareaza. I am excited also but will probably wait until the bugs are worked out...which shouldn't be long.

Well, maybe if our esteemed guests were directed to these areas as well , those fellow P2P enthusiasts would understand the areas you speak of. :)

This update isn't a p2p-zone exclusive. I leaked it at ZP first. :o

spreading the wealth eh? it's good tho because gaz's still paying off the coal bill from 1.88. we used a lot of steam running the servers. :D

Sorry for the spike. I know that gaz is constantly monitoring his bandwidth usage utilizing the latest techniques.

JackSpratts 16-05-03 04:36 PM

don't apologize for the spike - spikes are good. on the other hand copping gaz's high tech bandwidth tools, well, you'll have to take that up with him. :er:
