The differences between male and female songwriters
 

I only notice the obvious.
Guys talking about getting laid and women talking "relationships".

Most of my favorite singers are female. I can't give you a definite reason why, because I don't really know. But anytime I think about a really good song, most of the time, it's a female doing the singing. :)

i like female singer/songwriters, but i really do prefer songs by males. i'm a drums/bass kinda girl and the guys, by far, do more of that......although i know of a few good females.

reasons: i've stated before that i prefer the music, before the lyrics. hence, enjoying music, whose language i may not understand. but, i do like lyrics, but have to like the music before i'll even listen to the lyrics. but if gals would think about it, u can get a lot of info from lyrics by guys..........u can get inside their heads one way or another. it helps me understand a bit. i know, half of it's bullshit and like u say, napho, me myself and i, shit.

i just luv music.

Finally I think it's really hard to seperate "getting laid" from "relationships." The first thing this made me think of is a sample of a voice (a woman) on Robert Fripp's League of Gentlemen album, which says "Rock and roll is about fucking." Some people say fucking and getting laid and they really mean relationships, some people say relationships and they really mean fucking and getting laid.

Anyway, here's a little exercise in antithesis, for what it's worth:
