I love the bass on "The Real Me" also. All hail the Spider!

As for the drums I go "in a gadda da vida" solo or the "Time" intro by my favourite band.

Quadrophenia is the most under-appreciated, underrated album in all of rock, imho...it's a masterpiece and virtually every song is a classic. Moon lays down the drumming like thunder, the bass lines are awesome, the lyrics are poignant, and the vocals are delivered with power. They really don't write 'em like that anymore:(

I understand Mike Meyers is in the process of developing a film on the life of Keith Moon, with himself playing Moon...should be interesting.
