StreamCast CEO Griffin resigns
John Borland
The chief executive officer of StreamCast Networks, parent of the Morpheus file-swapping software, has resigned "to pursue other opportunities," the company said late Friday. Outgoing executive Steve Griffin had headed the company throughout its years-long incarnation as one of the most popular file-trading software companies on the Net. The company's terse statement gave no indication as to why he was leaving, but said it would continue operating. http://news.com.com/2100-1027-992783.html I never met the man and I'm still pissed off about him killing the forum but everything I've heard about him leads me to think this is not a boring guy. His in you face defenses of P2P products will be missed, even if they were occasionally counter-productive. - js. |

Not surprising. I doubt resigned is the right word.
I have met the guy, and worked with him three years prior to the P2P stuff. JS boring he certainly is not, that I can assure you. Perhaps one of the most creative guys I have ever met. Maybe the new management will put the forums aright for you. You could always ask the for the little blue guys to be resigned as well. |
