This is the entire Reverb segment (HBO) which features the band as they opened for a Björk segment and made me an instant fan. (And also made me sort of want to kill them because they were like 12 years old at the time and obviously highly favored by the gods of music).

I have the dvd it is a mix of 2 concerts and hotel room jams different concerts about 10 years apart .

If the video was better of greg on the stool you can see how wasted he was .

I got really interested in her as a singer after the Million Dollar Hotel soundtrack, wherein she covers Lou Reed's Satellite of Love (a duet with Bono with a band comprised of the members of U2, Daniel Lanois, Brian Eno & Jon Hassell fer chrissake). No live versions of that out there, but I did find the song, set to clips of the film, here. There's actually a couple of versions though, the hands-down best being the (other) Danny Saber remix, (see your local p2p app).

Also...

The Howie Day reminded me of this, which I've had the pleasure of seeing live a few times. This one is organic, but I've seen him go on for half an hour with the harmonizers and delays, building orchestrations and percussion for himself while the band smokes a cigarette.

ah that milla. she's some kind of babe genius. i was always enamored with gentleman who fell which has to be heard on a good stereo to really appreciate. and ok fine, she hooks up with some enya type producer and he puts it all together and presto, instant cred, but still, it's not something the average model would stick on her quickie cd so i have to give her some credit.

tbh i didn't know any milla vid existed until 30 mins ago. i got a promo copy cd a dozen years ago and my jaw dropped. never knew the vid things, but as for the two a black and white one will always be more geniusy. plus if there's no smiling it's a lock so it scores on both. on the other hand harry dean stanton's in the color version so it's almost a wash but then she wakes up at the end, a sure sign of creative bankruptcy. you won't hear me calling lisa bonet a babe genius no siree, although i was so hot for her in angel heart i thought i'd pop. she was sending secret messages to my other brain, like with a jackhammer.
