Locutus takes P2P to the next level. It employs a completely decentralized search, but avoids the inefficiencies and lack of scalability of a broadcast search. Rather than just looking at filenames, it scans documents using a technique similar to WWW search engines - allowing users to search for keywords inside supported file-formats (which include Microsoft Word and Microsoft Powerpoint files). Locutus is also the first P2P file-sharing application to focus on security.
