Thanks for a good link, schmooky. I find it a very positive thing that there is strong competition against players like Microsoft & Real on the format front. The openness of the mp3 format has been one of the key factors in the p2p revolution and if Thomson & Fraunhofer can deliver double the bang with a buck all the better.

Mp3PRO might also be in a CD boombox due in September to complement an MP3-CD boombox due in July at a suggested $179. The third product would be a $179-suggested headphone CD player due in Q4, replacing a larger $170 MP3 version due in February.
