The truth about Sapphirecut and soulseek

Some theories:

1 - no WAY did the server close soulseek just cos this one bitch complained - the RIAA have been complaining for months!

2 - Unless, the RIAA went on a press blitz to denounce p2p companies...but didn't even make a formal complaint to the people who were hosting them! LMFAO Rilary Hosen is a genius...

3 - It's unlikely this sapphirecu&t is acting on her own - maybe she's being put forward by the RIAA as 'a struggling independent artist', seeing as adverts by britney et al met with cynicism and our attitude of 'hell, britney has millions..'

more conspiracy theories after lunch.

i found her on FT and gave her stuff a listen...

generic trance music - i can see why she's struggling :BL:

she oughtta be grateful for the exposure that p2p gives her - nobody would of ever heard of this stuff otherwise:RE:

u've probably done exactly what was intended to be done, knife.
i wouldn't doubt about the RIAA being involved, but she probably didn't mind, knowing what kind of exposure this would give her.
and that many would dl her music just to hear what all the fuss is about.
either way, soulseek is probably just trying to be safe than sorry, for now.

the oldest trick in the p2p PR book - and I fell for it, eh Nan?:hmm:

unfortunately for her, the exposure cuts both ways - since there is nothing to her music, she can be best known for being a Metallica-style asshole:ND:
