Metallica - Frantic

It's 4am on Monday morning, I've been up all night and I catch the video for Metallica's song Frantic off their new album [St.Anger].

... I would like to ask anyone else who has heard the new album a question?

Do all the tracks make them sound like a metal band on public access television?

I was a fan of Metallica music for a very long time, even during the Napster issues they still had decent music, but to my ears this most recent offering sounded forced.

Master of Puppets was the first and last great Metallica record. What I've heard of St. Anger sounded terrible.

tish and pish sir...

kill 'em all is better imho, and the first 3 albums are all brilliant... as soon as the devil stopped dancing with his basslines over the top of their tunes they became... dull.

no i don't know what tish and pish means :p

St Anger is just about the worst piece of crap Ive ever heard. I have tried numerous times to give it a chance, but I cant get past the first 4 songs. The production is awful, the songs are chaotic and completely unorganized.
After ...And Justice for all, theyve all been crap. The Black album was ok, but thats where they went commercial and started caring about sales and popularity IMO.
All that crap with Napster, of course, was a huge turn off, but I will always be a fan of thier earlier stuff.

"my life style determines my death style..." ugh, sounds too much like something James picked up in AA.
