More Cheap Cd's

At Best Buy today, I got the new Manson CD for 7.99 and it comes with a dvd.....there was also a whole endcap that was 9.99 and lower for newer artists.....

Kind of odd, I noticed on another bulletin board recently a conversation about this being, apparently, a regional phenomenon. For example, such pricing is not a feature of my local Best Buy's—the Best Buy's here are a consumers last resort (at least this consumer) with prices (comparable to Border's and Barnes & Noble) in the 16.99-18.99 range, always, and their "special sale" prices, which are never new items, at about maybe 11.99 or usually 12 or 13.99. I guess they are franchises, I dunno. The climate here for record stores is bad in general. I usually go to Wherehouse Music which, here anyway, has prices around 7.99 for used CDs. (and seems to be the only place to find anything more than three years old that wasn't insanely popular at some point)

Within the last two years all but one important locally owned music store went down in Tulsa—and now the assholes who run it have prices like Best Buy's. lol. It's due to the proliferation of the above mentioned chains, no doubt.

OMG THEY'RE CONTROLLING EVERYTHING!

:shk:
