I'm new to this forum and have a couple of questions. I have an online hdd with my college and would like to download music/vids etc into it however i do not have admin or power user priv. :BRC: Which one is the safest yet widely used P2P software that I can install onto my online hdd without having admin priv? i have yet to try mIRC but some ports that are commonly used by IRC are blocked via McAfee VirusScan console, i can see the blocked port range as being 6666-66xx and possibly 66xxx. Is there anyway that I can get around this? Thanks for your help, hopefully i'll pharm some posts here :tu:

You are at college to learn. It's probably not worth getting into trouble with them just to download stuff.

You could try emule. You can download it as a zip rarther than an installer. Should run from any location you have read/write access to.
