AVAST False Positive Removing WASTE

Earlier this week, Avast blocked WASTE and deleted the exe. This hasn't happened yet with other AV programs like MS Security Essentials but it may only be a matter of time.

For Avast users however the fix is simple: Before launching WASTE, open the Avast user interface, select Settings in the upper right corner, then Global Exclusions in the left side menu, and under File Paths browse for Program Files and the WASTE folder. Check the box and you should be fine.

If Avast has already deleted your WASTE exe, you can find and restore it by going to Maintenance and Virus Chest.

- js.
