What A Concept!!

A "clean" P2P proggie. The spyware, ad bar and popups removed and it makes no registry entries either! Unfortunately the guy's bandwith limit's been reached so no testing for me.

Taken directly from the Clean Limewire Site. With this distribution of LimeWire, you won't have any annoying advertisements or spyware programs to worry about!

* No spyware, trojans, or viruses
* No advertisements
* Bleeding edge core LimeWire components
* LimeWire setup window during first launch for optimum performance
* Small installer size (Clean LimeWire=2.1 MBs vs Official LimeWire=3.8 MBs)
* Clean, friendly installation
* No registry entries
* Simple uninstaller included
* Fully compatible with official LimeWire release.
* Tested for compatibility within the new Windows XP operating system
* Fixed several bugs: German install compatability (includes other countries now, too), improved LimeWire execution, corrected desktop icon, failure of LW to minimize to system tray, & more.

You may be asking, "Is this version really legal?" Sure it is! LimeWire is an open-source project. However, if you do enjoy this version of LimeWire, you are hereby encouraged to purchase LimeWire Pro.

I for one would not use it. Abusing developers who release source will result in those and other developers not releasing source in the future. If you don't like the ads, why not just send $6 bucks to LimeWire LLC and get their ad-less version.

I agree to a point but couldn't the same thing be said about the content on P2P programs. People won't bother to write and record songs or make $100 million movies or create programs if people just steal them under the guise of sharing. It works both ways.:con:

There's a "clean" Morpheus/Kazaa program too but I haven't tried it and it's from a guy who's either a religious zealot or just spoofing it. Maybe someone else can try it. :)

What is Refosearch?

Refo-Search is a file-sharing system using the KaZaA and Morpheus servers.

So great, what's the difference?

Refo-Search is smaller in size, it uses MiRRoRMaN's unique recruncher system, using the least but best resources in your system.

Refo-Search has absolutely NO spyware, NO adware, NO banners, and absolutely NO popups while using it. It doesn't interest the maker what you do or what you buy.

Refo-Search is more powerful and uses the most of your internet connection to make it the most speedy, also there is no bitrate limit.
A couple of notes:

This software is for educational purposes only, it is an experiment from the maker to show you, the viewer, the full potential of a sharing system with no limits, no banners nor any spyware. It was not meant for the trading of illegal software, movies or music. Therefore, the programmer of Refo-search can not be held responsible for what it's used for. The use of KaZaa/Morpheus servers was purely experimental.

btw It's in the products section.
