Your favourite song hooks

The one they play at every sports events ( na na hey hey) is a good example of a chorus hook.

Greenday did it well here. :ND: :tu:

It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life

Let the mofo burn- Fire Water Burn by The Bloodhound Gang
:cr:

can't really comment on them because I'm not in North America and don't go to sports events, but what about Smoke On The Water's riff? That should go down well.

I knew he wrote jingles but man, all of these!

A Very Strange Medley (V.S.M.) This is a medley of commercial jingles Manilow wrote from back in the 70s. You'll hear:

Kentucky Fried Chicken
Get a bucket of chicken, finger lickin' good, have a barrel of fun, goodbye ho hum
State Farm Insurance
Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there
Stridex
Give your face something to smile about with Stridex
Bandaid
I am stuck on Bandaid cause Bandaid's stuck on me

Remember any so far? There's more including Dr Pepper, Pepsi and McDonalds.

Jump Shout Boogie Medley This is a medley of:
Jump Shout Boogie
Avenue C
Jumpin' At The Woodside
Cloudburst
and the well known song from Dick Clark's American Bandstand Bandstand Boogie

I LOVE U BARRY.  :a: :shk: :V: :er:

  • Kernkraft 400's "Zombie Nation" (would sound much better if it weren't remixed)
  • Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye (Steam - 1969 I think? Kick ass tune, usually used in hockey games when a visiting player is ejected for fighting)
  • Most MLB players get to choose a clip from a song of their choice while walking from the on-deck box to the plate. Dan Wilson of the Mariners had Alice In Chain's "Max in the Box" one year -- I found the (attempted) irony amusing.
  • The Fighting Irish song of Notre Dame. Annoyingly catchy.
  • USC probably has the best sounding marching band rendition of the Star Wars "Empire" theme
  • University of Florida's "Who Let the Gators Out" ... yes this was around loooooong before that horrible rip-off from the Baja Men or whatever. "Who- Who- Who let the 'Gatas out?!" Simultaneously accompanied by the Gator Chomp, naturally.

Probably hundreds more but I can't think of any off-hand at the moment.

Petey wasn't the only guitarist on that track, as a young man by the name of Jimmy Page was also present.
