So who's going to win?

I've been engaged elsehere for a good while and haven't been able to check the latest political developments from the ever-reliable Napsterite political information agency. So can somebody in the know tell me who is going to be the next US president? :BL: :bdance:

JackSpratts 09-01-08 08:27 AM

yes well, i'll get back to you in november...:shf:

RDixon 09-01-08 09:29 AM

Ask Diebold.
They know the answer to your question.

Ramona_A_Stone 09-01-08 12:13 PM

A burnt-out shell of a pus-filled human being who is sure to make your skin crawl.

Guaran-fucking-teed.

Mmm... somehow your prediction sounds strangely credible, Ramona! :KSY: :W:

ittybitty 09-01-08 12:26 PM

Hopefully, NOT BUSH!:BANIT:

albed 09-01-08 02:13 PM

This place is still packed with the usual incredibly spineless cowards who won't dare even to make a casual prediction.

I'm almost too disgusted to post.

Still Rudy/Condi like I've posted before.

All you gutless wonders can faint with shock now.

TankGirl 09-01-08 03:35 PM

Thanks, Albed, shamelessly straight as always. :BL: :W:

Nicobie 09-01-08 07:06 PM

Just so that ego heavy, power hungry mean bITCH doesn't win. I really don't care.

Paul would have been cool tho.

TankGirl 09-01-08 08:20 PM

But doesn't it look already now like the bITCH is out of the game? :W: :hflag:

albed 10-01-08 09:36 AM

The game hasn't even started; two or three low population states don't mean squat.

Late night cackling from Hillary's room explained-

-Teddy gets a tumor.

Quote:

A cancerous brain tumor caused the seizure Sen. Edward M. Kennedy suffered over the weekend, doctors said Tuesday in a grim diagnosis for one of American politics' most enduring figures.

floydian slip 20-05-08 09:41 PM

I think Obama will win if he doesn't get assasinated.

If he does, Hillary will win.

albed 21-05-08 03:10 AM

Ah, someone else with some guts finally. While McCain has been looking like an old fool lately, the cracks in Obama's facade are showing him to be rather obnoxious. I think the pressures of going head to head will start bringing out the real Obama and McCain will win.

theknife 21-05-08 11:15 AM

if Obama doesn't get hit by a meteor or a love child or something, he'll win it. it's looking like '92 - Bush Sr. vs. Clinton, the past vs. the future. McCain is Bush Lite and he 's too old and that's gonna stick.

Jadesun 21-05-08 01:32 PM

Who is gonna win?

Assuming that I have 50/50 chance of getting this one right, I'll bet 20 drachmas on the Ex First Lady!

albed 21-05-08 02:00 PM

Can you really remember 1992 knife? Be honest now.

But we'll see what the people clinging to guns or religion have to say about it.

Jadesun, you have a 33.3% chance, it's a three way race for now.

vividly - i took my (then) two-year old son in the voting booth with me :tu:

I figured you'd need someone to show you how. :BL:

It must be the good weather I'm having.

Opps... 3 way? (that shows how much attention I've been paying).. I still think the Ex First Lady, just an intuitive hunch.

multi 22-05-08 10:41 AM

I think you might be right there..
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/5...614/632/520082

It would appear she is stacking the odds in her favor ;)

theknife 22-05-08 11:43 AM

i don't think so - it's all but over for her. the best that can come out of Florida and Michigan is to split delegates and that's not enough.

meanwhile, there's this, for what it's worth:

Quote:

The Field can now confirm, based on multiple sources, something that both campaigns publicly deny: that Senator Clinton has directly told Senator Obama that she wants to be his vice presidential nominee, and that Senator Obama politely but straightforwardly and irrevocably said “no.” Obama is going to pick his own running mate based on his own criteria and vetting process.
if true, good for him. i'd rather see a McCain presidency than all the nonsense and drama that would be created by a Obama/Clinton ticket.

albed 22-05-08 12:43 PM

Yeah, the way she was forcing her way into the administration as first lady would be nothing compared to what she'd do as veep.

And I wouldn't put it past her to try offing the prez either. She's a fucking piece of work.

.

theknife 23-05-08 04:41 PM

...whereupon Hillary, already out on the end of a very slender branch, pulls out an axe and lops it off:

Quote:

Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton drew a sharp rebuke from front-runner Barack Obama's campaign on Friday after she mentioned Robert Kennedy's assassination while explaining why she was remaining in the race for the party's nomination....

"We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California."
very classy - way to nail down that vp slot, Hil. :W:

Šiego 23-05-08 05:32 PM

Hillary is off her fucking head. First she accuses Obama of trying to push her to quit, which he hasn't in any way, quite the opposite, then that his campaign has been sexist against her, which it hasn't, at all, and now she says she's staying in just in case someone shoots him. I can't wait for Ted's take on her comment.

On the other hand, someone seems to have told McBush to toe the company line. Odd though how he's accusing Obama of flip-flopping on Cuba when he called for a normalization of Cuban relations when he ran for president in 2000. Very odd.

Or is it a subtle message to her devoted followers?

Listen carefully and you can almost hear "You talkin' to me?" echoing in the night.

Šiego 24-05-08 03:02 AM

Keith Olbermann rips Hillary a new one!

HUCK FILLARY! :BL:

Š :S:

albed 24-05-08 04:16 AM

Oh whaa whaa whaa; and I thought Obama whined a lot about other peoples comments; Olbermam's just ridiculous. Politicians get assassinated, and not often enough imo. But after her comments, if it does happen, she's not going to benefit. So it's all good.

AFJROTC_c/SSgt 05-06-08 06:21 PM

Barrack Obama is going to smash McCain's creamy white self.

I just capped an excellent copy of that movie, yesterday.
