WT?...hrm...i'm too late i guess edit: got it on the second try :) edit2: that shit gave me chills...nice,..... i've paralleled the signal to noise ratio and communication with other humans before, i think that's what he was meaning with the title....sweet vid |
Yup Normy, apparently some headhunters caught on or something, but there was another version at YouTube so I edited the original link. No telling how long that one will last... (shame too, the one they removed was slightly better quality).
And now, take off your clothes and dance around: (The percussionist's enthusiasm kills me) Dead Can Dance (from the live video Toward The Within) - Rakim (One of my favorite DCD songs, but warning, the audio is extremely hot.) Also: I Can See Now/American Dreaming from the same concert, much better audio. ever loved a woman who made you feel tall? ever loved a man who made you feel small? |
Loituma - Ievan Polkka - a nice a capella polka by Finnish ethno group Loituma. :PE:
|
:)
In keeping with the a (sorta) capella vein... There are about 30 live boot vids at various venues from her latest tour on YouTube, but they don't do the song, the awesome lyrics or her exquisite beauty justice, so here's the official video: Imogen Heap - Hide and Seek  |

i can hear myself playing guitar to that, i'll have to mess with it |

Nice footwork!
AS IF I wasn't already a YouTube junkie, now I'm gonna need a 12-step program. NEXT! Milla Milla Milla. (Yes boys, the 'perfect being' from The Fifth Element and beloved of god his great hairy self in The Messenger, among others.) Milla Jovovich - Left and Right - Live, Fashion Rocks, London She's my soulmate but obviously doesn't realize it yet. I got really interested in her as a singer after the Million Dollar Hotel soundtrack, wherein she covers Lou Reed's Satellite of Love (a duet with Bono with a band comprised of the members of U2, Daniel Lanois, Brian Eno & Jon Hassell fer chrissake). No live versions of that out there, but I did find the song, set to clips of the film, here. There's actually a couple of versions though, the hands-down best being the (other) Danny Saber remix, (see your local p2p app). |
Also...
The Howie Day reminded me of this, which I've had the pleasure of seeing live a few times. This one is organic, but I've seen him go on for half an hour with the harmonizers and delays, building orchestrations and percussion for himself while the band smokes a cigarette. Victor Wooten - Bass Solo |

ah that milla. she's some kind of babe genius. i was always enamored with gentleman who fell which has to be heard on a good stereo to really appreciate. and ok fine, she hooks up with some enya type producer and he puts it all together and presto, instant cred, but still, it's not something the average model would stick on her quickie cd so i have to give her some credit.
then i heard she wrote and produced it herslf. o rly? kind of changed the dynamics right there. if she was my girlfrind i wouldn't get much sleep and life wouldn't be boring but neither would it last. she'd run me round in circles. i'll stick with the loituma girl with the glasses and the brown dress. be much happier. - js. |

Yeah I was just watching the Gentlemen clip earlier too. You know there are two versions, one directed by Lisa Bonet of all people, which apparently Milla hated and refused to release (but it's out there). One can only imagine the cat fight which ensued. :) |
i had no idea, Jack, thanks for the link
i just liked her energy on tg's a capella vid....captivating i tend to attach myself to women that can run circles around me....weeeeeee......then i get dizzy and fall... ;) |
OK one last entry for the crazed babe files (for tonight), another of my serious addictions.
About this girl nothing need be said, except that I've heard a number of stories from people who've worked with her what reckon she's crazier'n a possum on crack, what with bein' raised up in a shack off on up in the hills with no floor or turlets and all. One of these stories, which I almost hate to repeat... oh nevermind... I prefer to think of her as an angelic manifestation. tbh i didn't know any milla vid existed until 30 mins ago. i got a promo copy cd a dozen years ago and my jaw dropped. never knew the vid things, but as for the two a black and white one will always be more geniusy. plus if there's no smiling it's a lock so it scores on both. on the other hand harry dean stanton's in the color version so it's almost a wash but then she wakes up at the end, a sure sign of creative bankruptcy. you won't hear me calling lisa bonet a babe genius no siree, although i was so hot for her in angel heart i thought i'd pop. she was sending secret messages to my other brain, like with a jackhammer. - js. edit: opps, this is a live vid thread. gentleman live. |
:lmao:
Edit: Better be careful there Jack, some people might not be sympathetic or supportive if you make your bedroom behavior a matter of public record. |

And now for something completely different.
